A wellness space lives or dies at the seams — water, air, humidity and heat — where the hydrotherapy pool, the dehumidification, the waterproofing and the water treatment all meet. WALLNUT designs and builds spas, wellness centres and clinics under one contract, so those trades are coordinated in BIM before site, not argued over after a wall is already wet.
What we build
The durable core: hydrotherapy, thermal and vitality pools; sauna, steam, cold-plunge and contrast circuits; the ventilation and humidity control that keeps them from destroying the building; water treatment and Legionella control; and the acoustics that make a space feel calm. We also build the rooms and the services for circadian lighting, infrared and recovery/longevity suites — we deliver the space and the engineering to host your chosen equipment and therapies, we do not make health claims for them.
Why design-build for wellness
Wellness fails at the three-trade boundary: the pool, the dehumidification and the waterproofing belong to different contractors in a fragmented job, and the gaps between them are where humidity, corrosion and callbacks live. A single design-build contract puts architecture, the MEP engineering and construction under one accountable team, and full BIM resolves those services before site — which is the whole difference between a spa that lasts and one that sweats.
Regulation & licensing
Wellness is a regulated build, not just an interior: public pools and water systems carry Legionella and water-quality obligations, and clinics and medical-aesthetic spaces fall under health licensing (ERS, DL 279/2009). We design to the licensing regime from the start — ventilation, water treatment, acoustics and accessibility built in, not retrofitted to pass an inspection.
