Architect | Civil Engineer

Founder of Wallnut, graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon, with an ERASMUS year at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Started his career in Riga, Latvia. Graduated in Civil Engineering from the Politechnical School of Setúbal in 2012. Loves being creative at solving all sorts of problems.

Architect

Graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon in 2017 with his Master’s final project exploring photogrammetry and laser scanning in rehabilitation projects. Loves all about BIM, and technology and indulges his curiosity while nerding around obscure topics. Was the first architect to join Wallnut fresh from university, and much of the present culture of the company is thanks to his work ethic and bright mind.

Architect

Graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon in 2019, with a master’s thesis in Architectural Archaeology. One of Wallnut’s oldest members, a referral from Tiago Caferra also fresh from university, is also thanks to her that the company thrives with high-performing and dedicated team members – Vera wouldn’t take it any other way.  Compulsive movie watcher, loves to travel and read.

Civil Engineer 

Graduated from the University of Extremo Sul Catarinense in 2014, with a specialization in Projects’ management and compatibility. After being responsible for modifications in high-rise housing projects back in Brazil, crossed the ocean to explore Europe. Joined the team in 2017 and has been a cornerstone in the company, and in Pedro Vieira’s life ever since.  Loves puzzles and solving all sorts of challenges.

Architect

Graduated from the ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon in 2018, with her thesis being focused on “Renders vs. Photos in Architecture”. Her nerdiness is right at home at the office, and her natural talent for graphic design shows in every project. Her ability to digest regulation is uncanny. Loves staying home, video games, and chocolate.

Civil Engineer

Graduated in Civil Engineering from ISEL – the oldest Portuguese engineering school, finishing in 2016 with a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering. The first structural engineer in the team, she carved the way for Wallnut to be the all-encompassing company it is now. In her free time, she is also a crafted knitter and a fan of all sorts of fantasy stories.

Civil Engineer 

Graduated in Civil Engineering at the University of Cuiabá in 2017. She came to Portugal searching for new experiences, deepening her knowledge of construction technologies, and developing our engineering projects. She is a bookaholic, passionate about art and book covers.

Mechanical Engineer 

Graduated from Universidade do Algarve in 1999 as a mechanical engineer and got a Master’s degree in energy, climatization, and refrigeration. His guilty pleasure is reading sci-fi, detective, and historical novels. His humor is unparalleled in the office, and we love him for it.

Architect 

Graduated in Architecture and Urbanism from the Faculty of Architecture of the São Paulo State University, with an academic exchange year at the University of Lisbon which brought her to us. She is deeply in love with illustration, charming us all the way through her journey.

Civil Engineer  

Graduated with a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from ISEL. A former handball player, he now plays with lines of code to automate project tasks using data from BIM models. His job is his playground. Loves to play Tetris, board games, and escape games. His humor is convoluted as his programming, always a challenge and a delight.

Architect 

Graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon in 2007 together with Pedro Vieira, where they carved a lifelong friendship. After working in Amsterdam, Netherlands, she returned to Portugal and was dedicated to rehabilitation projects in architectural heritage. Proud mother of two and an incorrigible CD and Vinyl collector. It is music that brings her to life. 

Business Manager

Graduated from the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco in 2020. Got a Master´s degree in Business Management from the Coimbra Business School in 2022. His excellent communication and organizational skills are needed when finding the best deals or sorting through years of invoices. Loves to eat barbecue and travel to discover new places. His vocal musical repertoire never ceases to amaze us.

Architect

Graduated from ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon in 2019 with a Master’s thesis in Vernacular Architecture. Started exploring architectural visualization during University and never looked back. Loves climbing and new challenges. Every day he pushes the limits of renderization engines to deliver awe-worthy images and videos, which push us to create more and better.

Civil Engineer

Graduated from ISEL in 2008, and has been a friend of Pedro Vieira since childhood. Used to work for Wallnut as an advisor since 2016 and joined the team full-time in 2023, bringing value, expertise, and the most sarcastic humor known to man. He loves listening to music and going to concerts. Converted to BIM in a few weeks and is always there when the architecture team presents a new proposal.

Electrical Engineer

Graduated from the Pitagoras College in 2019. Working in the area since 2022 in Portugal, she decided to embrace new challenges and joined the team. She loves watching movies and seeing new places.
